2-seater UTV rentals for couples, solo riders, and anyone who likes to move fast

If you want to get out on the trails without coordinating a whole group, a 2 seater UTV rental is the right call. These machines are narrower, lighter, and a lot more fun to throw around tight corners than a 4-seat side by side. We have the 2-seat Can-Am Commander XT in our fleet alongside the Can-Am Maverick lineup, so there’s a good fit for most riding styles.

Not sure which one to pick? Keep reading and we’ll walk you through it.

Couples

Who want to share the experience without the overhead of a bigger group. You get your own machine, your own pace, and no compromises on where you go.

Who still want the safety of a roll cage and harness. You'll have the passenger seat free for a small cooler or a bag.

Solo Riders

Who still want the safety of a roll cage and harness. You’ll have the passenger seat free for a small cooler or a bag.

Who want something more responsive. A 2-seater handles differently than a 4-seat UTV. It's quicker to turn, easier to place on a trail, and a lot more engaging to drive.

Experienced Drivers

Who want something more responsive. A 2-seater handles differently than a 4-seat UTV. It’s quicker to turn, easier to place on a trail, and a lot more engaging to drive.

If you’re bringing kids or hauling a lot of gear, a 4-seater is probably the better call. We’ll always give you a straight answer if you call and ask.

What a 2-seater does well and where it falls short

A 2-seater is a great machine for the right trip. It’s not the right machine for every trip. Here’s what you’re getting into.

What works well

  • Narrower chassis fits tighter trails
  • Lower weight means better handling on climbs
  • Usually costs less per day than a 4-seater
  • More responsive and fun to drive hard
  • Easier to park and maneuver in tight spots

What to watch out for

  • No room for a third passenger
  • Limited cargo space compared to 4-seat models
  • Tighter cab can feel cramped for taller riders
  • Not ideal for gear-heavy overnight trips

Trip types where a 2-seater shines

Some trips are just built for a 2-seater. These are the ones we’d point you toward:

Canyon and switchback runs

The narrower chassis lets you carry more speed through tight sections and gives you better sightlines on the trail ahead.

Half-day sport sessions

If you’re going out for a few hours and just want to have fun, a 2-seater keeps things simple. No group logistics, no waiting around.

A couples' day out

It’s one of the more memorable things you can do together. Rent two machines if you both want to drive, since only the primary renter can drive each UTV.

What a 2-seater rental costs

Pricing on 2 seater UTV rentals depends on the model, how long you’re renting, and whether it’s a weekday or weekend. We don’t publish fixed rates here because they change, but the short version is: 2-seaters generally run cheaper per day than 4-seat machines.

A security hold ($2,500 per Commander or X3 DS; $3,500 per X3 RS, X3 XRS or Maverick R) is placed on your physical credit card at pickup and released within 7 days of a clean return. We’ll walk you through all of that when you book.

For a full breakdown of how pricing works, what’s included, and what changes the rate, see our UTV rental pricing explained page.

FAQS

Can one person rent a 2-seater UTV?

Yes. Solo bookings are fine. You will have the passenger seat free for a bag or small cooler. Just book online or call us and we will set it up.

Is a 2-seater harder to drive than a 4-seater?

Not harder, just different. A 2-seater is more responsive and turns quicker. Most people pick it up fast. If it is your first time in a side by side, the Commander XT is the most forgiving option in our 2-seat lineup.

Do helmets come with the rental?

Yes. Helmets for both the driver and passenger are included with every rental. We fit them properly at pickup.

Can I upgrade to a 4-seater on the day?

Usually yes, depending on what is available. If you think you might want more room, it is worth calling ahead so we can hold one for you.
