UTV rental pricing explained - what it costs and what changes the rate

If you have searched for UTV rental prices and come away more confused than when you started, you are not alone. Most rental sites either hide their rates entirely or list a base price that does not reflect what you actually pay.

  • Easier to compare providers fairly
  • Helps you choose the right day and duration
  • Lets you plan fuel and add-ons into your budget

  • Final deposit amounts before machine selection
  • Group discounts without calling us first

What affects UTV rental prices

The UTV rental cost you see quoted online is almost always a starting point, not the final number. Several things shift it up or down depending on your booking.

Machine model

A Maverick X3 RS Turbo RR costs more per day than an X3 DS Turbo. Higher-performance machines carry higher rental rates.

Seating capacity

Vector Background Image

4-seat machines generally run more per day than 2-seaters. More machine, more passengers, higher rate.

Duration

Vector Background Image

Half-day, full-day, and multi-day rentals are all priced differently. Longer bookings often work out to a better daily rate.

Day of the week

Weekend rentals pay the standard rate. Rentals that start and end Sunday through Wednesday get 5% off, except on holidays.

Season and demand

Holidays push rates up. Our Glamis dune rental season runs October 16 through April 14.

Add-ons

Fuel, the optional damage waiver, the required vQuip Adventure Shield ($49 per UTV per day), and gear upgrades are priced separately from the base rental rate.

Day vs weekend rates

Weekend UTV rental prices are higher because demand is higher. More people want to ride on Saturday than on Tuesday, so Saturday costs more. If you are flexible on timing, a rental that starts and ends Sunday through Wednesday gets 5% off the same machine (not on holidays).

Multi-day bookings that start on a weekday and run into a weekend do not get the weekday discount. We will break it out clearly when you get a quote.

Half-day

  • 3 to 4 hour window, not on holidays or for the Maverick R

Lower rate than a full day. Good for a quick trip or a first-time ride to see if you like it.

Full-day weekday

  • Starts and ends Sun to Wed, up to 8 hours

5% off the standard rate (not on holidays). Best value for a full day of riding without weekend pricing.

Full-day weekend

  • Thu to Sat, up to 8 hours

Standard rate. Higher demand means higher price. Book early, machines fill up fast.

Multi-day

  • 2 or more consecutive days

Each extra day costs 72.7% of the 1-day rate. 2 to 6 days can be booked online; 7+ days by phone. Good for extended trips where you want more time on the machine.

How the deposit works

A deposit is held on your credit card at pickup ($2,500 per Commander or X3 DS, $3,500 per X3 RS, X3 XRS or Maverick R; no cash or debit). It is not charged unless there is damage to the machine. When you return the machine in good shape, the hold is released within 7 days.

We inspect the machine with you at pickup and note any existing wear or marks before you leave. That protects both sides and keeps the return inspection clean.

Learn Safety Basics Before You Ride

Deposit is released when

  • Machine returned on time
  • No damage beyond normal wear
  • Fuel policy has been followed
  • All included gear returned in good condition

Deposit may be charged if

  • Body or mechanical damage from misuse
  • Machine returned late without prior notice
  • Missing or damaged included gear
  • Fuel not topped up if required by policy

What's in our 2-seater fleet

When you book a UTV rental with us, these items are included as standard.

Helmets for every seat in the machine, fitted at pickup

Safety briefing and controls walkthrough before you leave

Whip flag installed on the machine

UTV rentals in California and Glamis pricing

If you are searching for UTV rentals in California or specifically looking at Glamis UTV rentals, expect pricing to reflect the demand in those areas. Glamis is one of the most popular off-road destinations in California and rental rates on holidays run higher than standard pricing.

UTVs are picked up and returned at our Vendor Row location, right at the dunes. There is no UTV delivery, so there is no delivery charge to factor in when comparing UTV rental prices across providers.

Maverick R XRS Turbo

Commercial UTV rentals and group bookings

If you are coordinating a commercial UTV rental for a corporate outing, event, or large group, pricing works a bit differently from a standard single-machine booking. Multi-machine bookings involve coordinated pickup times and a shared briefing at Vendor Row. The best way to get an accurate quote for a group or commercial booking is to call us directly.

FAQS

How much does it cost to rent a UTV?

The cost depends on the machine, the duration, and when you are booking. Half-day and 2-hour rentals on a weekday are the most affordable options. Weekend full-day rentals on higher-performance machines like the Maverick X3 XRS Turbo RR or Maverick R sit at the higher end of the range. We give you a full breakdown when you get a quote.

Are UTV rental prices higher on weekends?

Yes. Weekend rates are higher because demand is higher. Rentals that start and end Sunday through Wednesday get 5% off for the same machine and duration (never on holidays).

Is the deposit charged or just held?

It is held, not charged. We run a hold on your card at pickup. If the machine comes back in good condition, the hold is released within 7 days. The deposit is only charged if there is damage beyond normal wear.

What is included in the UTV rental price?

Every rental includes helmets for all seats, a safety briefing, and a whip flag installed on the machine. Fuel, the optional damage waiver, the required vQuip Adventure Shield ($49 per UTV per day), and gear upgrades are separate add-ons.

How much do Glamis UTV rentals cost?

Glamis rental pricing on holidays runs higher than standard rates. Call us before your Glamis trip and we will give you a complete cost breakdown.
