Families with kids.
The wider cab and extra seats make it more comfortable for kids. Bigger machines have a smoother, more planted ride compared to a 2-seater.
Friend groups.
Four people, one machine, one experience. You are not splitting up or waiting for each other at trail junctions.
Gear-heavy trips.
Whether it is a cooler, camera bags, or a day pack per person, a 4-seat UTV gives you actual cargo space.
Corporate and group outings.
Side by sides are one of the more memorable group activities you can book. Multiple machines, a shared trail.
If it is just two of you and you want something more nimble, our 2-seater page is worth a look before you commit.
The honest pros and cons
A 4-seater UTV is the right tool for group trips. It is not always the right tool for every situation. Here is what to expect.
What works well
- Seats four passengers comfortably
- More cargo space for gear, coolers, and bags
- Smoother, more planted ride on rough terrain
- Good for riders who want more stability
- Everyone stays together on the trail
What to watch out for
- Wider chassis means some tight trails are off-limits
- Costs more per day than a 2-seater
- Less agile than a sport-focused 2-seat machine
- Harder to park and turn around in confined spaces
Trip types where a 4-seater works best
Some trips are built for a 4-seater. Here is where it really earns its place.
Family trail days.
A 4-seat side by side is one of the best ways to get kids interested in off-road riding. They are secure, comfortable, and there is something to look at the whole time.
Group half-day or full-day rentals.
Booking for a birthday, bachelor, or bachelorette trip? A 4-seater keeps everyone in the same conversation. Rent two and you have a convoy.
Scenic and photo runs.
When the point is the views rather than the speed, a bigger machine with a comfortable ride wins every time.
When NOT to book a 4-seater:
If it is just two of you and you want a sportier, more technical ride, a 2-seater is probably more fun.
4-seater models in our fleet
We keep our fleet well-maintained and stocked with machines that cover different riding styles. Here is what we currently carry for 4-seater UTV rentals. Our 4-seat fleet is all Can-Am: the Commander MAX XT, X3 Max DS Turbo, X3 Max RS Turbo RR, X3 Max XRS Turbo RR and Maverick R. Can-Am machines tend to have a more premium feel and strong power delivery. The Commander MAX XT is often a better fit for groups who prioritize comfort and cargo. Call us if you want help deciding.

Availability changes by day and season. If you have a specific model in mind, call us before you book and we will tell you what is ready to go.
What a 4-seater rental costs
Pricing depends on the model, the duration, and whether you are booking a weekday or weekend slot. 4-seaters generally run a bit more per day than 2-seat machines. More machine, more passengers, higher rate. For a full breakdown of how pricing works, see our UTV rental pricing explained page.

FAQS
What is the best 4-seater UTV for a family?
For most families, the Can-Am Commander MAX XT or X3 Max DS Turbo are the top picks. Both have comfortable, stable rides and enough room for four passengers without feeling cramped. If the kids are older and you want more performance, the X3 Max XRS Turbo RR is worth a look.
Do all four passengers need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Everyone riding in the machine signs a waiver on arrival. For riders under 18, a parent or guardian signs on their behalf. We walk the whole group through it together.
Can we rent multiple 4-seaters for a big group?
Yes. We regularly handle group bookings with multiple machines going out at the same time. Call us to coordinate timing and make sure we have enough available on your date.
Is a Can-Am 4-seater UTV hard to drive?
Not at all. The Commander MAX XT is one of the more beginner-friendly machines we have. Stable, responsive to light inputs, and forgiving if you make a small mistake. Most drivers feel comfortable within the first few minutes.
Can we bring gear and supplies in the UTV?
Yes. You can bring coolers, day packs, camera gear, and similar items. Just keep the load reasonable and make sure nothing loose is in the cab while moving.
